The Following instructions
will take you step by step through the simple set-up tasks for Windows
95 / 98 TM. If your going
to use the special Welcome to
Pyramid 3 Dialer, you do not need to do these steps. But
if you do, Please follow each step carefully. The Buttons /
Tabs you will need to click are highlighted. You may find it easier
to follow, if you print these out.
STEP ONE: Verify
that Dial-up Networking is Installed;

First of all we must determine if the
"DIAL-UP
NETWORKING" has been installed on your computer.
DOUBLE-CLICK On the "My Computer"
icon on your Win 95 Desktop screen. |
| If the "Dial
Up Networking" folder highlighted in the screen to the right, is
present, proceed to STEP Four.
If it is missing from the screen you must continue
with
STEP 2.

STEP TWO:
Installing the Dial Up Networking Folder to Win 95TM
"My Computer" If the Dial Up Folder was not found in the "My
Computer Folder":
1. Press the "START"
Button
at the bottom right hand side of your
Win 95 Desktop .
2.
Select the "SETTINGS" selection,
then "CONTROL Panel".
3. Double-click
the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS icon. |

STEP THREE: Setting
The Dial Up Networking cont.
| 1. After clicking
on "ADD/REMOVE PROGRAM" icon. the window to
the right will be shown.
2. Click
on the "WINDOWS SET-UP" tab.
3. Select
the "Communication"
tab, insure that there is a check in the block to the left.

4. Now click
on the details button on the lower right. This will now open up the
Communications section.
5. Proceed
with STEP Four. |
Step Four:
1. Double
Click on your
"MY COMPUTER "
icon from your main Win 95 Desktop screen.
2. This
will bring up your "My Computer" screen. Double click on "Dial-Up
Networking" icon. |

After
opening the Dial up Folder, Double click the "Make
New Connection" icon
4. This
will open the Wizard and take you step by step in creating your Dial-Up
icon

| 5.
Enter the name that you wish to call your new icon. (i.e. Pyramid
3 Network). You may name it anything you like.
6. In
the "Select a modem:" you should see your modem that is installed on your
computer. |
7.
If
so, click on the next button. |
| 8. Enter
in your Area Code and the the number given to you by your ISP for
dialing the computer that you are going to call.

9. Click
on the "Next"
Button

10.At
this step click finish
 |
| 11. Now
that you have your icon, highlight it with the right mouse button.
12. This
will open a window, select Create Shortcut. Win 95 will tell you
it can not install it here, but can put it on the desktop. Click
YES.
You now have a Shortcut on your main screen and do not have to go to my
computer all the time to make connection.

Now
right click you icon again and highlight the properties box. |

14. When
the screen to the right appears, first be sure that the "Use
country code and area code" are not checked.
Now click the Server Types Tab |

Make sure you see PPP as the "type of Dial-Up
Server" and enter all the check marks
as shown in the screen at right.
23. Now
click the "TCP/IP"
Settings" button. |

24. After clicking on the "TCP/IP Setting"
button, the screen to the right appears.
25. Be
sure you have a dot in the "Server Assigned
IP address".
26.
Select
"Specify name server addresses".
27.
Enter
the Primary DNS and secondary DNS numbers were furnished by your ISP.
28.
Place
checks in the last two blocks of the page and click "OK"
then click "OK "
again. Close all windows back to your Win 95 Desktop. |

Congratulations ...You
have now completed the setup for Win 95. You should
restart your computer at this time.
Click
on the "Shortcut to Pyramid 3 Network" or what ever you named your
icon.
Enter in your "User name"
and Password in their designated text areas.. If the button "Save
Password" is present, place a check in it.

Click the "Connect" button.
When you see the connected dialog box appear with its running timer you
are connected. |
You may now start up
your favorite web browser or e-mail program and start surfing the net.
