     Outlook Express Mail 4.x

One of the nice things about Outlook Express, is that  you can have as many different mailboxes (accounts)  as you wish.  Everything is checked with one click of
the send and receive icon.  If you have a lot of different e-mail address, even on other servers, this is the best mail system to use.  Also the e-mail program is separate from the IE 4.0 Internet Explorer so you can check your e-mail  without having to go through your internet browser.

Step 1: Getting Started

Start by opening Outlook Express by clicking on the Outlook Icon.
Once you enter Outlook you will be presented with a setup wizard if it
is your first time on.  The instructions are easy to follow, just replace
the information with the information given to you by your ISP.

If it is not your first time then you will need to do several steps to
set your e-mail accounts up.  It is a very easy program to install and
setup. Just follow the example given on each page of the  wizard or
go to Step 5 to go through each step. These are the very same steps that
the wizard uses, or the steps used to add a second or third e-mail address.

Step 2: Tools and Accounts

After opening "Outlook Express" click on the "Tools" selection at the top of the page.

This will open a drop down screen. Select the "Accounts" tab

Step 3: Internet Account Information
The below screen  will open.  Click on the ""Mail Tab" Then click on the
"Properties Button".

Step 4:   Add Mail Account

This screen will open. click on the "Add" Button and then the Mail option.

Step 5: Enter the name that you wish to appear in front of your
e-mail address  This usually is your Proper name.

Step 6: Now enter your e-mail address as given to you by your ISP.
Most of the time this will be your "Username @ ISP Domain.

Step 7:   Insure that you see "POP3" in the Mail server Block.
Your  Incoming mail (POP3) server and
Your Outgoing mail (STMP) server are both the same.
Place  mail.pyramid3.net  in both of the remaining blocks.

Step 8:  Now put in your Username and username only in the
                 POP Account Name Block
Enter your password but do not check the log on using
                 Secure Password Authentication.

Step 9:  Now choose a friendly name that you would like to name.
This can be what ever you wish it to be.

Step 10:  How to choose  your connection
                  "Connect using my phone line"

Step 11:  Click "Use an existing dial-up connection"

Step 12:  Great, you are now through configuring your Outlook Express."
If you wish to add a second e-mail account, just redo the
steps above for the new account.
